　　从我记事时起，我妈妈就常向我提起草原的景象。天苍苍，野茫茫，风吹草低现牛羊。的诗句，在我上小学前就已经耳熟能详了。陪伴我去草原以前，妈妈也只去过一次草原，那是在1988年夏天，妈妈陪南方来的朋友们一起去呼和浩特市北郊的昭和草原观光。妈妈说：草原真美呀，蓝蓝的天空下，茂密的草场，足有一人高，放眼望去，一望无际，风吹过，绿浪翻滚，像大海的波涛，真是一片绿色的海洋。妈妈的描述，使我从六岁起就对草原充满向往。
　　直到去年的国庆假期，妈妈第一次带我去了草原以后，我脑海中草原的印象却完全变了
　　当旅游车停在了一片只有几厘米高，更像是一个大草坪一样的操场时，导游说：草原到了。我满怀喜悦的心情被下车时看到的景象迷惑了。问妈妈：这就是草原呀？！怎么不见风吹草低现牛羊啊！妈妈也显得很吃惊。如此低矮的草；更没有洁白的羊群，吃草的马儿也显得无精打采。
