　　丘处机成吉思汗的关系及其故事
　　丘处机生于1148年的山东，当时那里是金国占领的地方，所以他是金国人。不过1245年成吉思汗建立的蒙古帝国灭亡了金国，所以后来丘处机又成了蒙古帝国的人，这也为他与成吉思汗后来的关系埋下了种子。
　　金人统治时，社会动荡不安，百姓生活困苦，全真教就是人们的精神支柱之一，所以丘处机是他们的精神领袖。山东有次发生农民起义，当地官员就是请丘处机来安抚，而他也的确做到了。也是因此，曾经应金朝皇帝召的丘处机，后来以金朝皇帝不仁为由，推辞召请。
　　而等到成吉思汗的蒙古灭亡金朝后，在丘处机严重，蒙古也就成了可信的国家，所以在成吉思汗派人请他会面时，他欣然答应。而对于成吉思汗而言，打天下容易知天下难，丘处机不仅声望极高，而且据说很有治国才能，所以想要招揽他。
　　这样就有了，丘处机西行劝成吉思汗止杀的故事。可以说，这次见面双方都是成功的。对于成吉思汗而言，他见到了一个神仙，不仅能够说出一番治国道理，还能教自己养生。对于丘处机而言，他向成吉思汗表达了自己止杀的意思，具体有没有打动他不得而知，但之后蒙古的中原政策的确有所缓和，想来还是有关系的，可以说是一定程度上缓和了蒙汉的矛盾。
　　之后，成吉思汗尊丘处机为国师，让他掌管天下道教。在此之前，成吉思汗和一般蒙古族一样是信萨满和喇嘛教的，由此可见丘处机对成吉思汗产生了很大的影响。
　　丘处机的故事
　　丘处机是道教一代宗师，被成吉思汗称为神仙。后世流传着许多有关他的故事，比如在他出生的山东登州栖霞传说，丘处机出生时有两个官员把门，而且出现了火光和异香，之后乌云散尽万道金光，可以说是天生异象，注定了他的不凡。
　　传说，在丘处机中年的时候，他遇到了一个相师，相师告诉他说：你的一生会贫贱到了极点，面相是腾蛇锁口，所以你注定会饿死。原来，丘处机的鼻子两边的法令纹一直延伸到了他的嘴角，这在相术里是注定要非常贫困和饿死的面相。
　　这预言和当时丘处机的经历的确符合。他出身贫寒，幼年就失去了双亲，少年时就住在山上吃松子为生。而在师傅飞升后，丘处机没有烛火没有锅碗地隐居修行了十几年，生活非常清苦。丘处机听到自己的面相后，想到的不是怎么让自己不穷不饿死，而是在想如何让天下的穷人不饿死。
　　而到了晚年，丘处机又一次偶遇了这位相师。他早就不记得曾经给丘处机看过相，这次他对丘处机说：你的一生富贵到了极点，面相是蛟龙出海，所以你注定尊贵无比。原来，丘处机原来在鼻子两边的法令纹已经离开了嘴角，并且向上翘起，这在相术里是注定要富贵至极的面相。
　　而这次，相师又一次说准了，丘处机晚年当上全真道掌教，被成吉思汗轻微掌管天下道教，的确尊贵无比。
