周伯通为什么能在新天下五绝之首

　　周伯通无求无欲，比黄药师和一灯高出一筹，论功夫，他应该是天下第一，很多时候他和别人打架都不用九阴真经上的和左右互搏术，要用上，估计没人能胜过他。另外，在第三次的华山论剑中，功夫已经不是唯一的标准。周伯通心性和功夫都无人可及，他得第一是意料之外，情理之中的事。
　　绝是什么，不仅仅是武功高强，不过论武功，周伯通是高手，而且是武迷！更重要的是、杨过的情、郭靖的忠、一灯的淡薄、黄药师的邪，这还是有所牵绊，可周伯通呢，一生无牵无挂、无名无利！新五绝之首周伯通当之无愧。
　　周伯通天生是个乐天派，喜欢无拘无束的玩；他深得道家养生要旨，长寿有道，逍遥自在地生活在天地之间。
　　寓意：无欲则刚。
　　周伯通，是金庸小说《射雕英雄传》及《神雕侠侣》中的人物，王重阳（中神通）的师弟，全真七子的师叔。他天性纯真，爱作弄别人，故有老顽童之称。他不拘小节，与晚辈郭靖结拜为兄弟。

　　在第一次华山论剑中，中神通王重阳赢得武功秘笈《九阴真经》。周伯通跟随王重阳来到南帝段智兴所在的大理王宫，在段智兴与王重阳切磋武功期间闷得发慌便在王宫到处游荡。
　　在宫中发现了练武的刘贵妃即后来的瑛姑，后来传授她点穴功夫。但也因此肌肤相接，日久生情，使得瑛姑怀孕。后来段智兴知道后决定将瑛姑许配给周伯通，但周伯通坚决不肯，还了锦帕给了瑛姑，随即离开。
　　数年后王重阳逝世，死前交代周伯通将经书上下册分开藏匿。周伯通在运送《九阴真经》下册至藏匿地点的途中遇到东邪黄药师与其新婚妻子冯氏，此二人施奸计骗得《九阴真经》下册经文的内容，周伯通中计下毁去经书。日后周伯通得知其受骗于黄药师二人，为防上册经书被盗，于是携带《九阴真经》上册经书前往黄药师居所桃花岛追讨下册经文，却因武功不敌，从此被困于岛上十五年。
　　这期间周伯通为打发时间自创七十二路空明拳及双手互搏，同时也熟读《九阴真经》上册经文，另外也从郭靖处取得下册经文。
　　天真烂漫的周伯通与郭靖成为结拜兄弟，并且授予空明拳及双手互搏，出于作弄心理周伯通在未告知郭靖的情形下要他详记《九阴真经》的经文内容，同时也教导其《九阴真经》内之武功，只是周伯通自己也在不知不觉的情形下习得了《九阴真经》上所记载的武功。
　　在郭靖赢得黄药师的三场比试之后，周伯通与郭靖、洪七公离开桃花岛。在与欧阳锋打赌后不愿写出《九阴真经》而跳入海中，但遇到一只鲨鱼而后骑鲨遨游直至再次遇到郭靖等人。
　　第二次华山论剑时，周伯通捉住沙通天等人，并将他们交予丘处机关在重阳宫。而后见到瑛姑来到，便迅速离开了华山之巅。
　　神雕侠侣
　　随后十余年在蒙古游荡，并传授耶律齐武艺。
　　后来周伯通被赵志敬和金轮法王骗入蜘蛛洞，幸得小龙女用玉蜂为其解，随后传授了双手互博之术给小龙女，从而解了危机。但周伯通看到指挥蜜蜂好玩便偷了小龙女的玉蜂蜜，学习指挥玉蜂。
　　在杨过和郭襄帮助下周伯通得悉与南帝一灯大师和瑛姑的交错关系，并跟二人相见，三人的数十年来的恩怨缠绵亦终告和气解决。
　　第三次华山论剑，周伯通继承其师兄中神通王重阳地位得中顽童之号，成为了天下五绝之首。
